Last week, I shared that my sweet friend Sheryl brought flowers to me for Dog Mom's Day. A few days later, after a marathon shopping excursion with my scrappy friends, I came home to a huge surprise ... Josh got me a vase full of gorgeous roses and a super adorable card "from the dogs." The roses were a pinkish-peachy ombre color, they were just beautiful! :)
My layout started with sheet of My Minds Eye paper that I spotted at Paper Crown. It was covered in tickets (a favorite of mine), in the prettiest pinks, greens, blues, cream and black. I didn't want to use all the paper, so I just used a strip across the bottom, adding a dotted piece from Recollections for more accent. My background cardstock marks the first time I used the NEW Doodlebug cardstock, even though I'd had it for months. It has a different texture than their previous criss-cross Bazzill cardstock ... and it also has a different smell. I know that sounds ridiculous, but to a Doodlebug fiend such as myself, it was amazing to get a whiff when the plastic came off the assortment packs, LOL! :) I pulled the rest together with a ticket shape cut with my Silhouette Cameo for my journaling, a flower and few brads.
|he had each dog give the envelope a lick to seal it - LOL :)|
