Good morning!! It's Friday! :)
I have a couple of things for you today, but I want to first apologize to a couple of people (Miss Cheryl, NC Peach for one) ... I was getting so many spam comments that I turned on the comment moderation setting last week. Yesterday, I got a notice with a super sweet comment from Cheryl, and I totally "fat fingered" the button on my phone for Publish, and instead hit Delete!!! Ugh :( I was so sad!! I tried to go back and try again, but it was gone. The stupid thing is, I did it AGAIN later in the afternoon! I felt so stupid! While it's nice not worrying about spam coming through, I'm turning the moderation OFF again, so things like this don't happen anymore. I will re-evaluate if I start getting spam again ... or just try to be EXTREMELY careful! I apologize to anyone who left a comment that didn't make it, I am truly sorry. It makes my day to get comments/questions/anything, so it really made me sad.
OK ... fun stuff ... it's Photo Friday!!! And, as usual, I've gone to the dogs ...
I have several "liked" pages on Facebook for dog stuff. I love seeing the fun new items or gadgets, cute pictures and great stories. Thought I'd share a couple today ...
From Off The Leash ... this is EXACTLY what happens at our house. Between us, on both sides. We used to have a sofa and loveseat, but someone was always getting left out, so we had to buy a sectional (like we had to buy a king-size bed for all of us), so everyone had room. And we complain at times, or get uncomfortable, but we wouldn't have it any other way!! ;)
Now a cute picture I saved from a Basset Hound rescue page ... totally describes my Droopy-Doo's personality! He was always more interested in the PEOPLE than other dogs, or anything else.
One more Basset Hound piece ... this is an art print I am thinking about getting when we finally get to redecorate our bedroom and bathroom. Gus and Abby have some adorable dog-themed artwork and cards.
And finally, not sure if you've seen this on the news ... it's making headlines!! This is an artist's installation at the Orange County Museum of Art. Richard Jackson: Painting Ain't A Pain has been causing quite the stir with his outdoor piece that sprays yellow paint on the building. I've seen a few news stories that have been posted, and the museum visitors aren't offended nearly as much as they're amused. Unconventional, certainly. But with my odd sense of humor, I find it hilarious ... mostly that anyone would even think this up!!
Have a great day, everyone! :)

I don't mind comment verification, but boy do I hate the Captcha codes! Why do you suppose the programmers put the PUBLISH button right next to the DELETE button? Wouldn't anyone with any common sense at all put those buttons in completely different areas of the screen? I wonder that all the time. After accidentally deleting a comment trying to publish from my phone, now I do all my moderating from the computer.
ReplyDeleteLove the comic! In our family, Trevor plays the role of the dog in the comic.
Super fun...1st one is soo my house!!! LoLoLoL!!!
ReplyDeleteHa, that dog peeing on the building at the Orange County Museum of Art is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI agree w/ Cindy...moderation is fine but that Captcha stuff? No thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love all your pictures and because of my twisted sense of humor, I am so loving that dog peeing on the building!!! Thanks for sharing!
That is too funny, my boys would love it :)
ReplyDeleteThe dog lifting its leg is awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd the first comic, thats totally my dog. He'll squeeze between us and sit up like a human and watch tv.
