PL cover and title page

Hi everyone!

Last year, I thought really hard about doing Project Life.  I really had a 'thing' for the divided page protectors, all the die cuts in the Silhouette Store, and the ones that Kerri Bradford designed as well.  All year, I thought about if I'd be able to keep up, if I would have enough content, if I even wanted to take on such a project.  I won a large bubblegum Doodlebug album, and since they had new divided page protectors, I decided I would gather supplies during the year, and be ready when 2013 rolled around! :)  I also used some PL inspiration while doing my Las Vegas album and December Daily (both of which now have links to the entire albums on the right side of my blog page), making me even more comfortable with the idea.

When 2013 started, I really didn't know exactly what to expect, but I was excited.  I kept notes, took photos, but didn't actually start working on pages for a couple of weeks.  Then, I realized, they were coming together quickly.  Embellishing and "making them pretty" took me longer than I realized, but it's been fun so far! :)

Here is my cover, and inset.

I matched the spine label.
Title page ... I wanted to use lots of die cuts, and they each represent a little part of my life.

I also spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to take photos of my pages.  Being in page protectors that glare was giving me quite a fit.  I saw a post from Ali Edwards, showing her standing directly over her layout, which gave me an idea.  I will try to take good photos, but can't always promise how well they'll turn out! :)

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by! :)

  7. Very cool and like your designs and colors you use for your project life. I have been thinking of doing a project life. But not sure I know when I do my mother heritage album. I am going to do half layouts with projects. The other half will be pictures and jorunal tags of who who in the pictures along with titles.
